Cemetery records show him as being buried here but their records don't give birth and death years. In March 2002 the gravesite was in fairly good condition.

Born in Wallroth, Hessen, Germany, he and his future wife arrived in Richmond Virginia aboard the ship Lucilla departing from Bremen, Germany, 20 May 1836.

Private Nicholas Ribb served in Independent Battery D (Durell's Battery) Pennsylvania Volunteers Light Artillery.
Mustered in: February 20, 1864, Mustered out with Battery: June 13, 1865

He was a member of the Cooperstown Albert H Jackson Post No. 299 of the G.A.R.
