Services for Clarence E. Shepard will be Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the First Missionary Baptist Church, Healdton. Rev. George Maddox, minister of the church will offficiate.
Shepard was born at Atoka on March 20, 1906. He lived at Wirt and Dillard before moving to Healdton in 1961. He was a retired pumper with the Daube Oil Co. for whom he worked 23 years. He was a member of the Rexroat Baptist Church and the Healdton I00F Lodge. He married Bertie Baker on Dec. 10, 1923 at Ringling.
Shepard died Saturday morning at his home after a year's illness.
Survivors include his wife, Bertie, of the home; three sons, Billy James, Egegik, Alaska, Jerry, Oklahoma City, and Paul of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Linda Guy, Lynwood, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Rose Chapman, Bethany; three step-brothers, Arthur Ellis and Winston Ellis, both of Ringling, and John Ellis, Gainesville; and three grandchildren.
The I00F Lodge will conduct graveside services. Burial will be in Hewitt Cemetery under the direction of Reser Funeral Home.
