Services for Mrs. Bertie Shepard will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the First Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Walter Hickman officiating. Burial will be in the Hewitt Cemetery under the direction of Reser Funeral Home.
Mrs. Shepard was born in Bowie, Tex. on Oct 4, 1909. She died Sept. 3, 1977 in a Jacksonville, Tex. hospital after an extended illness.
She was reared in the Mountain Home community, lived in the Dilllard-Wilson area for 30 years and had lived in Healdton for the past 17 years. Her husband, Clarence, preceded her in death in 1968.
Survivors include three sons, Paul Edward, Oklahoma City, Bill, National City, Calif., and Jerry, Yukon; a daughter, Linda Kay Guy, Bullard, Tex.; one brother, Wylie Baker, Ringling; two sisters, Fern Reed, Bakersfield, Calif., and Atlee Smith, Duncan; and 7 grandchildren.
