Born May 25, 1910, to Sydney Coleman and Ettie Bell Horn Bennett in Jones County, Texas, she died May 25, 2004, in Madill.
Mrs. Vaughn came to Oklahoma with her family as a young child. She lived at Reck and attended Zaneis School. She married Ben Vaughn in 1935. He preceded her in death in 1963.
She and her husband lived in Seminole about 30 years. After his death she moved to Oklahoma City, living there until moving back to Wilson in the early 1980s.
Survivors include a son, Benton, of Slidell, La., and two sisters, Alma Keltner, Little City, Okla., and Florence Barker, Redding, Calif., and two granddaughters. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby L. Riley, on April 26, 2004, and a brother, Edgar Bennett, in 1985.
Bearers will be Scott and Brad Sullivan, Brent and Brannon Daniel and Kenneth Moorhead. Family visitation is planned from 1 until 3 p.m. today at Alexander Funeral Home, which in is charge of arrangements.
