Lee Anthony Cannette, Sr., age 89, of D’Iberville, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2014.
Lee was a lifelong resident of D’Iberville. He was the former owner of Lee’s Place and Full House Lounge in D’Iberville. He was a US Navy Veteran of World War II, serving on the USS Flusser (DD358) during the Pacific Campaign. He was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Lee loved playing cards and watching his grandsons play ball.

Lee is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Moran Cannette; parents, Julius and Lucy Cannette; son, Darrin Cannette; sister, Marie Reinhardt; brothers, Elvin, George, Julius and Angelo Cannette; and grandchildren, Brandon Breal and Caleb Holtzberger.

Survivors include his daughters, Karen Cannette and Tricia Cannette McMahon; two sons, Lee A. (Sandy) Cannette and Ricky Cannette; brother, Michael Cannette; grandchildren, Taryn (Chad) Cannette Hanson, Jessica (Derick) C. Holtzberger, Derek Breal, Patrick McMahon, Cassie McMahon and Brett McMahon; and great granddaughter, Natalie.

Family prefers memorials to St. Vincent de Paul, c/o Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 10446 Lemoyne Blvd., D’Iberville, MS 39540.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2014. Friends may visit two hours prior. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
