Helen Pauline was married to Edwin Carl Sr.- the son of Charles and Mary Catherine (Newman) Anthony. They had 6 children: Mary Grace m. James Zimmermann, James Milton m. Iva Detweiler, Edwin Carl m. Mary Louise Wildasin, Leona, Evelyn Athalia m. George Henry Emig Jr., and John William m. Mary Bienkowski. She and Edwin were divorced in @1933. Helen married Walter Brendle later in life. Walter died in the 1940's. In 1952 Helen visited Illinois after a granddaughter was born and remained there for 16 years. Helen moved back to Hanover, Pa. in 1968. During her years in Illinois, Helen was employed in the childrens shoe dept. of Marshall Field & Co. Helen was the daughter of Milton Emory and Mary Louise Niederhofer Bowman. Helen was active in the Pythian Sisters. She was a wonderful grandmother.
