The family came to America from Germany when she was a young girl and settled in this region. In 1880 she married John Timmerman who preceded her in death. Following their marriage the couple went to housekeeping on a farm near here. A few years ago they retired and purchased a home in Minonk.
Survivors include four daughters – Mrs. Martin Gerdes of Benson; Mrs. Ed Barth, Mrs. Minnie Fischer of Minonk; and Mrs. John Sullivan of Amboy - and three sons - Herman, Henry and John, all of Minonk. Three children in addition to her husband preceded her in death.
