He was known as a tobacco farmer in the Grapevine community.

Survived by his wife of 66 years; a son and daughter-in-law; a daughter and son-in-law; three grandchildren and four great-grand- children; a sister, Flossie Lewis and her husband Welzie V. Lewis, Jr.

Predeceased by three brothers, Henry, Aud and Ralph Norton; and two sisters, Dellar Hensley and Leatha Jenkins.

Funeral services: Friday, December 16, 2005, Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service.

Graveside service: Saturday, December 17, 2005, at Shelton Cemetery, Long Branch Road on Big Laurel.
