Funeral services will be held Sunday, Sept. 21 at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Lanett with the Rev. Ronnie Jordan officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Lanett.
The family will greet friends Saturday, Sept. 20 from 6 until 8:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Lanett.
Mrs. Ford is survived by her husband of 53 years, Forrest L. Ford; her daughter, Lori A. Ford; her sons, Vincent W. Ford and Phillip L. Ford and his wife, Michelle, and son, Garrison; her sister, Maryella Flynn, and her husband, Frank; her brother-in-law, Larry D. Ford; and several nieces and nephews.
Born Saturday, Feb. 7, 1942, in Brundidge, Ala., Mrs. Ford was the daughter of the late Charles and Lois Adamson. She was blessed to serve the Lord as a teacher and director for more than 37 years at the Shawmut First Baptist Daycare. Working at the daycare was not just a job but a ministry for Mrs. Ford. She loved every one of the children and considered them her own. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lanett.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to Chattahoochee Hospice or the Christian Service Center in Valley.
