Kathryn J. Aaron
1926 - 2014

Kathryn J. (Quidor) Aaron of Alvadore (Eugene) passed away on September 10th of cardiac arrest at age 88. Graveside service held at Oak Hill Cemetery.

She was born on July 25, 1926, in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, to Edward and Pearl (Pierce) Quidor. She moved to Eugene at age 16. She graduated from Eugene High School in 1944. Kathryn then moved to New Mexico, where she met Robert "Bob" Aaron. They were married on Aug. 4, 1946 in Clovis, N.M. A few years later they moved to Eugene. They had been married 64 years when Bob passed away on Sept. 10, 2010.

Together they raised 3 children, Pat, Kathy and Rob. Throughout her life she had a variety of jobs including exercising horses, soda jerk, field boss for a farm, ran a dog kennel, and worked on the election board. She also volunteered as a 4H leader for several years for the Fern Ridge Saddle up Club, and when her children were in school she was a room mother. She and Bob moved to Alvadore 53 years ago, and planted Christmas trees on their small farm, "Aaron's Christmas Trees" which they had for many years. She was also an avid duck fan and never missed a game!

She was first and foremost, a wife and Mother. Her home was always the gathering place for family and friends. It was safe, warm, and filled with love and laughter. She was like a second Mom to many, and loved by all. She was the binding force of the family and a wonderful example to all. She will be deeply missed.

Her parents, husband, and two brothers, Tom and Bob Quidor, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her Sister, Virginia Adank of Veneta, her children all of Alvadore, Pat (Bill) Willings, Kathy (Joe) Kloster, Rob (Cherie) Aaron, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
