Robert Aaron

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, at Oak Hill Cemetery for Robert L. "Bob" Aaron of Eugene, who died Sept. 10 of age-related causes at age 96.

He was born April 27, 1914, in Albuquerque, N.M., to Robert and Ivy Heydt Aaron. He married Kathryn Quidor on Aug. 4, 1946, in Clovis, N.M.

He graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1934. He served in the Pacific with the U.S. Army during World War II, receiving the Purple Heart and other military distinctions. He was a driver and salesman for Darigold Creamery and also sold shoes for Burch's Shoe Store.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Pat Willings and Kathy Kloster, both of Alvadore; a son, Rob of Alvadore; a brother, Joe of Albuquerque; and six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
