Nora Roth Carpenter, 105, Humansville, Mo., died September
15, 2004, in her home.

She was born August 12, 1899, to Peter and Miriam Neuenschwander Roth on the Wheatland Prairie in Hickory County. She married Joseph Pitts in Wyandotte County, Kansas, in 1921. They were the parents of a daughter with whom she has lived the past eleven years. She later married John Turner, and they lived in Kansas City until retiring to Pittsburg, Kansas. he preceded her in death in 1965. She then moved to Wichita, Kansas. She married Claude Carpenter, and they moved to Weaubleau and later to Humansville. He preceded her in death. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Pittsburg, Kansas.

Survivors include a daughter, Josephine, Humansville; two
grandsons; sixgreat-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and six step-great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were September 17 in Garden of Memories,
Pittsburg, Kansas. Services were under direction of Murray Funeral Home.
