Lenell Cason, 69, died Tuesday, Sept. 13, following a brief illness.
She was born in Sylvester, Ga. and lived in Palatka for 38 years, later moving to Melrose. She had retired after 31 years as a bag catcher with Central States Diversified in Palatka.
She is preceded in death by her son, Kirby E. Theus and great-grandson, Justin Chambless.
She is survived by her daughter, Marnell Durrance of Melrose; son, George Cason Jr. of Melrose; brother, Marion W. Theus of Tifton, Ga.; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
