Eugene Albers, 86, of Hannover, died on September 20, 2014, at Knife River Care Center, Beulah, ND. Services will be held at 10:30AM CDT, Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Hannover, with Pastor Russ Fitch officiating. Burial will follow at the Hannover Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Eugene was born on November 9, 1927, near Hannover, ND, the son of Otto and Minnie (Rabe) Albers. He was raised and educated in a country school near Hannover. He loved to work with horses and he farmed in Olive County all his life. Eugene had a hobby of attending auction sales. On April 3, 1972, he married Edith Berger in Center, ND. Together they lived on Eugene’s family farm until the late 1990’s, when they moved into Hannover. In March of 2011, they moved to KRCC where they have since lived. Eugene is survived by his wife Edith of Beulah; two step-children, Ronald and Wally Berger; one sister, Correne (Les) Henke of New Salem; brother, Norman (Idell) Albers of Bismarck; one sister-in-law, Della Albers of Woodburn, OR; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Leonard. Arrangements conducted by Barbot Funeral Homes, Beulah and Hazen.
