Como Items / COMO, Oct. 7 - Mrs. Byron Matteson died October 2d, after an illness of several weeks which terminated in tuberculosis of the throat. She was 47 years of age. She leaves a husband and two daughters, a father and mother, Chauncey and Hannah Hart of Summerhill, a brother, E. S. Hart, and a sister, Mrs. William B. Harmon, to mourn their great loss. The funeral was held at the house on Sunday. Rev. William Wells delivered an appropriate sermon from the words of Paul: “For me to live is Christ and to die is gain.” The casket and surroundings were covered with beautiful floral offerings from relatives and friends Burial at Sand Hill cemetery.
