He was a brilliant research scientist and a mentor to many. He did work in many different states to include Ohio, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, New York, Montana and California. He was active in the Geological Community up to his death.

Mr. La Mori is survived by his wife Barbara Muller La Mori who he married on 31 JUL 1989. He is also survived by his two children from his first wife Paul M. La Mori and Jon P. (Joyce) La Mori, his sister Judith C. (Walter) Ritchie; he has three grandchildren: Nicolas, Jennifer and Kara, and three nieces Margaret Maxwell, Janet (Ethan) Feinsod, Ellen Ritchie and several grand nieces and nephews.
