Tom Murphy, 68, Dies On Monday

Tom Murphy, 68, of Kingston Route 1, died Monday afternoon.
Born in Floyd County, he was a son of the late O. M. Murphy and Nannie Warren Murphy.
He had lived in the Hall Station community most of his life. He was a retired farmer
He is survived by his wife, the former Annie Mae Ward; two sons, James, of Adairsville Route 2 and Woodrow, of Detroit, Mich.; three daughters, Mrs. Frank Wilkey, of Kingston Route 1, Mrs. Willie Jarrett, of Kingston Route 1, and Mrs. George Adams, of Kingston Route 1, four brothers, Joe, of Chattanooga, Doc, of Adairsville Route 3, Dick and Bailey, of Kingston Route 1, two sisters, Mrs. Maggie Ward, of Adairsville, Route 3, and Mrs. J. G. Pye, of Calhoun, and 17 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3 o’clock, at Mt. Carmel Methodist church, with the Rev. Floyd Dugger and the Rev. Charles Kerr officiating. Interment will follow in church cemetery.
Pallbearers will include Harry and Charles Ward, Delbert Murphy Homer Rodgers Leonard Lockridge and Charlie Murphy.
The body will remain at the Funeral Home until the time for the funeral.
Barton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
