Perley Drost Washburn 68. Died unexpectedly 6-12-1993 at a Presque Isle hospital. He was born in Wade, 7-25-1924 the son of Herbert and Letha (Clark) Drost. He was employed at Northeast Helicopter Services as a truck driver for 21 years, until his retirement. He married Barbara (Baker) Drost on 6-7-1947. Surviving in addition to his wife of Washburn, are 1 son, Douglas Drost of Santa Paula, CA., 2 daughters, Lois Pike of Washburn and Mrs. Roger (JoAnne) Hewitt of Wade, 1 sister, Elsie Parey of Greenfield, MA., his stepmother, Gertrude "Tiny" Nickerson of Washburn, 2 half brothers, Eugene Drost of Tolland, MA. and Gerald Seward of East Hartford, CT., 9 grandchildren, Barbie, Billy and Bobbie Jo Pike, Shelly Sinclair, Adam and Shalyn Drost, Roger, Donny and JoDale Hewitt, 4 great grandchildren, Josh, Kristi, Seth and Kayla Pike. Several nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by a special family friend, William Pike Jr. and the family dog, Benji. He was predeceased by a half brother, George Seward Jr. and a half sister, Lillian Drost. Burial Crouseville cemetery.
