Miss Iris Grissom dies after short illness
Miss Iris Grissom, age 70, of Jonesboro, died Monday, March 7, 1983 in the Lincoln General Hospital in Ruston, following a short illness.
Funeral services were hed at 10:30 AM Wednesday, March 9 in the Buck Edmonds Memorial Chapel in Jonesboro. Rev. Major Lewis conducted the services.
Burial was in the Antioch Cemetery near Quitman under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Edna Hanes and Mrs. Mary Lowe, both of Quitman; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Pallbearers were J. W. Duck, Winfred Peel, Kenneth Pardue, Hilman Pate, Robert C. Vail, Billy Cooper, Jerry Stevenson and Billy Mize.
