Funeral services held for Mr. Grissom
Funeral services for Thurman Grissom, age 55, of Hodge, were held at 2 PM, Friday, November 23, in the Antioch Presbyterian Church near Quitman.
Rev. R. P. Willis and Rev. Walter Russell conducted the services. Burial was in the Antioch cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
Mr. Grissom died Wednesday evening, November 21, in the Jackson Parish Hospital after a long illness.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mildred Grissom of Hodge; one son, Robert Grissom of North Hodge; two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Vail of Quitman and Mrs. Mary Edith McBride of Jonesboro;
Four sisters, Mrs. Edna Hanes, Mrs. Novis Duck, and Ms. Iris Grissom and Mrs. Mary Lowe, all of Quitman; five grandchildren also survive.
