Fred died of pneumonia on 18 Mar 1919 in Kemmerer, Lincoln, WY. Daisy and the children moved to Las Vegas, NV in May 1919. She married Thomas Laughlin Shanahan on 24 Feb 1921 in Las Vegas and had two more children: Thomas Laughlin Shanahan (1922-1992) and George Edward Shanahan (1925-1999.)
