John Henry McCabe, 59 of Sugar Grove Road, Morgantown, died Monday, Dec 25, 2000, at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 13, 1941 in Kingwood, son of Evelyn P. McCabe of Laurel Point and the late John H. McCabe.
He was a U. S. Navy veteran. He was the owner of Ryder Truck Rental in Morgantown and Cruise America. He was a member of the Morgantown Moose Lodge and WFW Post 548 Morgantown.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Moats McCabe; three sons and a spouse, Chris McCabe, at home, John Allen and Linda McCabe of Morgantown and Shawn McCabe of Laurel Point; a brother and spouse Jim and Sandy McCabe of Kingwood and two granddaughters, Stephanie McCabe and Brooke Ann McCabe, both of Morgantown; a sister-in-law, Carolyn and husband Greg Hill, of Mentor, Ohio; and four brother-in-law, Lee Moats, John Moats, Gary Moats and Robert Moats.
Friends were received at Hastings Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec 28, with the Rev. Loretta Lee officiating. Burial followed in Maplewood Cemetery. VFW Post 548 conducted graveside military rites.
