Mrs. Ann Stout
Services are pending at the Nelson funeral home here for Mrs. Ann Stout, 87, a former resident.
Mrs. Stout died of complications incident to advanced age at 4:30 a.m. Monday in the home of a daughter, Mrs. John Brindley, Des Moines. Mrs. Stout had lived there for the past six years.
She was born May 19, 1876, in Fairfax, the daughter of Donald and Robina McIntire. She was married to William L. Stout in Eldora.
The couple moved here in 1915. She was a member of the First Methodist church, its Women’s Society of Christian Service, the Women’s Relief Corps and the Royal Neighbors.
Survivors include three sons, Earl, Lemon Grove, Calif.; Dr. Minard, McLean, W. Va., and Don, Burlingame, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Paul Hughes, Waterloo; Mrs. Henry Simmons, Los Angeles, and Mrs. Brindley; one sister, Mrs. Belle Ross, Los Angeles; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded by her parents, husband and one daughter.
