Born on February 8, 1740, Norwalk, Conn.
Parents : Deacon John Kellogg, and Ann Coley of Norwalk and Fairfield Conn. He served as a Pvt with 4th & 6th Company, 1st Revolutionary War Patriots Buried in Ohio, Updated 4/2018 634 634 CT Regiment from 22 April 1777 to 22 April 1780 under Captain Spalding's Company; also served from 01 Jan 1781 to 31 Dec 1781 in Captain Granger's Company under General Waterbury's State Brigadesoldier in Gen Waterbury's Brig, Conn Troops. See p 565 "Conn Men in Rev." –
He Married Eunice Judd, September 6, 1761. Children: Sarah Kellogg Hoyt, Esther, Eunice Kellogg Munger, Jemima Kellogg Tibbalk, Mary Kellogg Ives, Olive Kellogg Porter, Anne, Seth, Ethel, Elihu and Ezra.
He died on farm near Centerville, Montgomery Co, June 26, 1819 and buried at Centerville, Montgomery, Ohio, Sugar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery (also known as Old Centerville Cemetery), N. Main Street, Centerville, Montgomery Co., OH 45459. GM by son-in-law. Gen Munger (1812 War). Came to Ohio very early (1797) from Middleburg, Va with wife and children, Jonathan and Edmund Munger (his son-in-law) and Benjamin Maltbie. Traveled in two three-horse wagons, the wheel horses driven by lines and the leader driven by a boy. Came through Pa to Marietta where they remained for a while in the stockade. Thence to Belpre in 1799. To Cincinnati in 1800 by water, thence to Washington Twp, Montgomery Co. Ref : Miss Jean Rowland, London, OH. Kelloggs Genealogy, p 154.
