OBITUARY FROM TUCKER FUNERAL HOME

BREMEN - Elizabeth "Lib" Wilcox, 82, of Bremen, died Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at her home following an illness. Born in Muhlenberg County on June 22, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Nannie Lue Anderson. She was a lifetime member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Bremen.

Lib, affectionately known by her family and friends, was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the glue that kept her family together. She found profound enjoyment in surrounding herself with her family. Known for her jam cake, her passion for cooking was only equaled by the amount of people who sought the food she cooked. She is preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Gwen Ann Doss; and two brothers, Jim Anderson and Harold Lloyd Anderson.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Wesley "Shorty" Wilcox; a son, Roger Dewayne Wilcox of Bremen; a daughter, Alice (Mitchell) Gunn of Greenville; three granddaughters, Brooke (Mike) Morrison of Belton; Kendall (Evan) Armstrong of Greenville; and Jackie (Joey) Morris of Central City; seven great-grandchildren, Wes and Ali Morrison, Payton Armstrong, and Madden, Paizley, McCall, and Grayden Morris.

She is also survived by three brothers, Gene Anderson of Jasper, AL, Earl "Buddy" Anderson of Indianapolis, IN, and Roger Anderson of Hammond, IN; and two sisters, Betty Harris of Central City and Juanita Taylor of Nashville, TN; and lots of special nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 3, 2014, at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Bill Bursztynski officiating. Burial in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday after 5:00PM at the funeral home.
