Nov. 11, 1959 - Sept. 23, 2014 Barbara Haughton Baker was the fourth child born to the late John and Janie Haughton on November 11, 1959 in Mobile, Alabama. On September 23, 2014, she was called from labor to a life of eternal reward. She confessed Christ early in life and was baptized at Friendship Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aldaine Baker, Sr., mother, Janie Haughton, father, John Haughton, Sr. and sister, Delores Haughton Moore. Barbara grew up in the Crichton Community where she lived most of her life. She was a product of the Mobile County School System, and a graduate of Cedar Grove Academy. She attended Remington College where she earned her degree and became a Pharmacy Technician. She leaves to cherish her memories, a devoted son, three devoted daughters, five grandchildren who she loved dearly, one sister, two brothers, mother-in- law, one sister- in- law, two brothers-in-law, one aunt; and one great aunt; a host of devoted nephews, nieces, along with many cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral hour at Friendship Baptist Church, 2667 Reaves Street, Mobile, AL. Rev. W.E. Jones, Officiating Minister. Interment to follow in the Pine Crest Cemetery, Mobile, AL. Arrangements are entrusted to the careful direction of Reese Funeral Home 925 S. Bessemer Ave. Prichard, AL.
