Audrey Myers Hunter, 79, of Port Orange, FL passed away April 25, 2013 in Jacksonville, FL, two days after surgery. Audrey was born in Lancaster, PA on January 14, 1934, the daughter of Elizabeth (Francis) and John F. Myers. Audrey was five years old when her mother died in 1939. Life guidance from then on was from her father and stepmother Pauline (Gemmill) Myers. Audrey graduated from Manheim Township High School in Lancaster and then went on to Columbia, Missouri where she attended and graduated from Stephens College. Audrey has been a life long member of the Presbyterian Church and a member of P.E.O. Last year women of Westminster-By-The-Sea Presbyterian Church in Daytona Beach, Shores, FL presented Audrey, the Leader of Circle 3, with an honorary life membership. The award was based on leadership and the contributions of Circle 3 members providing food and assistance to the underprivileged, along with the knitting of prayer shawls, hats for the troops and caps for chemotherapy patients. Audrey is survived by her husband of 59 years, James T Hunter, and their three children: Son, Stephen Hunter (Kristina) of Longwood, FL, and their children Ryan and Sarah; Son, Michael Hunter of Kansas City, MO and his daughter Tiffani; Daughter, Krista Goff (Michael) of Olathe, KS, and their children Hunter and Kayla. Audrey is also survived by her brother, Richard W. Myers of Las Vegas, NV.
