Rosemary (Couch) Sitzman, 89, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013, at the Heritage Center.Rosemary was born in Evansville, Indiana, on September 13, 1923, to the late James Levi and Margaret Anna (Barron) Couch.She graduated from Memorial High School in 1941. Rosemary worked at Interstate Finance (now American General) where she worked as a secretary from 1941 until 1948. Rosemary later worked as a secretary at Holy Rosary Catholic School from 1976 until 1980. She was a longtime member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Rosemary also was a member of the Captain Henry Vanderburgh Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Thomas Spriggs Sr. Chapter of the Colonial Dames. She enjoyed genealogy and was a charter member of Higgins - Mapes Family Historical Association.Rosemary is survived by her daughters, Sue Ellen Keller, of Sarasota, Fla., Diane E. Besing (Niles "Skip"), of Newburgh, Ind.; sons, Joseph C. Stoltz (Terry), of Evansville, Ind., and Gary E. Stoltz (Sharon), of Evansville, Ind.; stepson, Joseph E. Sitzman (Velmarie), of Evansville, Ind.; stepsister-in-law, Jerri Clayton (Ellis), of Evansville, Ind.; grandchildren, Amelia Wildeman (Paul), Peter Stoltz (Mandy), Paul Stoltz (Krysta), Charles Stoltz (Amber), Molly Stoltz, Christopher Stoltz (Dawn), Margaret Stoltz, Martha Stoltz, Sarah Stoltz, Philip Stoltz, Brian Keller (Elisa), Daniel Keller (Amanda), Andrew Keller, Kyle Besing (Rachel), Ryan Besing, Kari Besing, Jon Stoltz (Rebecca), Eric Stoltz and Jordan Stoltz; stepgrandchildren, Brad Keller (Marcia), Paige Patterson (John), Shane Sitzman and Sarah Weaver (Mike); five great-grandchildren; eight stepgreat-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.Rosemary is preceded in death by two husbands, Charles E. Stoltz in 1971 and John E. Sitzman in 1995; a son, Alan Martin Stoltz in 1975; and her parents.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 8, 2013, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1301 S. Green River Rd., Evansville, IN 47715. Burial will follow at Park Lawn Cemetery.Friends may visit from noon until 6 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2013, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 E. Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711, where a memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Friends may also visit from 9 a.m. until mass time at the church on Monday.
