Adrinette M. “Audrey” (Hebert) Dube, 84, of Norton passed away on Thursday March 5, 2009 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert P. Dube who died on January 20, 1995.

Born in St. Agatha, Maine on October 8, 1924 she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Isabelle (Roy) Hebert.

Audrey grew up and was educated in St. Agatha, Maine. She was wed to her late husband on November 3, 1942.

Mrs. Dube was a retired Lab Receptionist at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro where she had worked for over 15 years before retiring. She had formerly been employed as a waitress at the former Lord Fox Restaurant.

A communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Norton, she enjoyed bowling, gardening, embroidery, quilting, crafts, spending time at the Norton Senior Center and especially the wonderful times spent with her adoring family.

Audrey liked taking trips back home to her native state of Maine and while visiting was quite involved at local senior centers where she enjoyed cooking for her friends. She had made her home in Norton for the past 20 years and was a former resident of Plainville and Foxboro for many years.

She was the devoted mother of Nancy M. Platt and her husband Alan of Norton, Gerald J. Dube of South Casco, Maine, Ida M. Gross and her husband Ed of Barre, Vermont, June M. Curry and her husband Wade of Port St. Lucie, Florida and the late Richard Dube who passed away in 1972. She was the dear sister of Ernestine Tolisano of St. Petersburg, Florida, Rene Hebert of Presque Isle, Maine and Patrick Hebert of Columbia, CT. Mrs. Dube is also survived by her cherished 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 1 great- great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held from the Norton Memorial Funeral Home 19 Clapp St. Norton followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated in St. Mary’s Church 133 South Worcester St. Norton. Burial will follow in the Norton Common Cemetery, Norton MA.
