ABRAMS, Paul Age 77 of Camden left his earthly residence on Monday, March 13, 2006 and returned to his Father in Heaven. Over the many years as family and friends, we have celebrated Paul's life. Today we embrace and cherish the memories of our loved one as he leaves us to meet the Lord. Paul was born in Hamilton on June 19, 1928 the son of Walter and Myrtle (Powell) Abrams and graduated from Camden High School in 1946. He farmed for his parents, worked at Pillsbury for 25 years, and retired from Square D in 1990. At the young age of seventeen, he gave his heart to the Lord and began what turned out to be a long walk in faith. He was a Sunday School teacher and secretary/treasurer at area churches. Paul was a member of Somerville Pentecostal Church. On March 4, 1972 he married Marie Asher, the woman with whom he would spend the next 34 years. This was a companionship touched by God to inspire the rest of us to love. Along with his wife, Marie Abrams of Camden, he leaves three daughters, Pauletta Abrams of Hamilton, Jennifer (Britt) Cox of Camden, and Rachel Abrams of Cincinnati; one son, Timothy (Diana) Abrams of Berea, Kentucky; two sisters, Edna (Dan) Cox of Camden and Ada (Ellsworth) Perry of Lexington, Kentucky; eight grandchildren of whom he was so proud, Missie, Brian, Paul, Brad, Timmy, John, Kayla, and Natalie; fifteen great-grandchildren that kept him young, Alicia, Tiffany, Chelsea, Tyler J., Kelsey, Trey, Tyler, Kyle, Brian, Rachael, Mariah, Madison, Jasmine, Justin, and Joseph; and an extended family, including many brothers and sisters in the Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Earl, Herbert, and John Abrams; one sister, Mildred Ivie; and two granddaughters, Tonya and Rhonda. Funeral Services will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, March 17, 2006 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Riley Parker of Somerville Pentecostal Church, Rev. Michael Gadd of Camden Pentecostal Church, and Rev. Dexter Worrell officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
