She was the daughter of LindseyJones and Jennie Ethel (Clark) Garner and married William Howard Duncan - 03 Jul 1937 - Franklin Co., Tennessee. Her obituary follows:


Thelma G. Duncan, age 82 of Winchester, died April 10 at Southern Tennessee Skilled Care. She was a deputy clerk for Franklin County and the daughter of Lindsey and Jennie Clark Garner. Survivors include three sons, John Duncan of Apple Valley, California, and Doe Duncan and Donald Duncan, both of Winchester; two daughters, Judy Anderson of Selmer and Vicky Simpson of Decherd; four sisters, Edna Henley and Evon Smith, both of Winchester, Myra Jean Rose of Decherd, and Mildred Chambers of Dahlonega, Georgia; a brother, Lindsey Garner of Manchester; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted April 13 at 10 a.m. from Moore-Cortner Funeral Chapel with Bro. David Lawrence officiating. Interment was in Franklin Memorial Gardens.
