She was a French domestic servant in the castle of Montbel (Belonging to La Rochefoucault Family) who claimed to experience 15 apparitions of the Virgin Mary in the course of the year 1876. She was near to death, but after the fifth apparition she recovered immediately . In 1983 the Catholic Church formally recognised her cure as medically inexplicable, and therefore of miraculous character
