MARGARET (ACTON) MOFFATT
Mrs. Margaret (Acton) Moffatt died 25 January 1924, age 30 years, 1 month, 1 day.
The entire countryside was shocked on Monday evening when it was learned that Mrs. Gordon Moffatt, Brooke and Warwick town line, had expired very suddenly from heart trouble.
Mrs. Moffatt who appeared to be in even better health than usual the past few months was busy preparing the evening meal when her husband who was using the phone, turned in time to see her fall to the floor.
Death was apparently instantaneous. Mrs. Moffatt was second daughter of Mr. John Acton who resides on Lot 8 Con 6 S.E.R., Warwick.
Besides her husband she leaves one five year old daughter Doris, her father and two brothers and four sisters.
Fred on the farm adjoining his father, Clayton at home, Mrs. George Bell (Mabel) of Sarnia, Miss Ella, teacher in Kerwood School, Mrs. Roy Shea (Rheat) 6th line and Miss Estella at home.
The funeral was held on Wednesday afternoon to Watford Cemetery, service being conducted by her paster, Rev. J.L. Foster of Brooke Methodist circuit.
The pallbearers were Fred and Clayton Acton, Elmer and Hiram Moffatt, George Bell of Sarnia and Mrs. Cunningham of Toronto.
The sincere sympathy of the entire community goes out to the members of the bereaved families in their hour of sore affliction.
