Walter worked for St. Louis Screw & Bolt Company for years. He was nicknamed "Train" by his co-workers because he was strong. He loved the St. Louis baseball Cardinals and Wrestling at the Chase. He married Eula Christine Heilig and to their union 5 children were born. He worked to support his wife and family and saw to it that there was food on the table. Sadly, he died from a gunshot wound by someone attempting to rob him.
