In 1967, she represented Indiana at Palisaides, New Jersey in the Miss America Teenage Pageant, then in 1968 graduated from Anderson High School.
Sharon worked at several different jobs, caregiver, Delco Remy, DRA, Roche, Castleton and in the past 20 years, she had a small business of making glass and sterling silver jewelry.
She was an avid animal and outdoors person. She and Jimmy would hook up their boat and head for Dale Hollow or Northern Michigan to the lakes. She loved the spray of the water on her face. She was a very giving person to anyone that was in need.
Sharon is survived by her mother, Helen Baker Chapman, sisters: Nancy Granger, Kandee (Shane) Borton, Tykayla Bond, significant other, Pete Mitchell, nephews, Ernie Bond, Stephen Bond, nieces, Tami Benton, Leah Bond, and Cynthia Granger, several great-nieces and nephews and friends, Doug and Debbie Romine, Robin Orbik Graham, and Bonnie Garrett.
She was preceded in death by father, Henry Baker, husband, James "Stymie" Heath, siblings, Gloria Jean Baker and Stephen Ray Baker.
Visitation will be held from 1:30-3:30pm on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, Anderson, Indiana.
Services will be held on Saturday at 3:30pm at the funeral home with Rev. Richard Gregg officiating.
