Dwight B. Blue Jr., 68, Hooversville, formerly of Johnstown, died July 12, 2005, at Windber Hospice. Born Nov. 4, 1936, in Johnstown, son of Lavina (Dabbs) Blue, Johnstown and the late Dwight Blue Sr. Preceded in death by father and mother-in-law, Warren and India Sorber. Survived by wife of 34 years, Sally (Sorber) Blue; daughter, Annamarie married to Thomas Apple, Monroeville and a brother, David Blue and wife Barb, Johnstown. Graduate of Johnstown High School. Served in the Pennsylvania National Guard. Former co-owner of Blue's Fire Extinguisher Service, Johnstown which was started by his father. He was a lay minister in the Lutheran church and former youth Sunday school teacher. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church Hooversville and Hooversville Lions Club. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Hooversville. Viewing from 10 a.m. until service 11 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Hooversville. The Rev. Gerald L. Myers officiating. Interment POS of A Cemetery, Hooversville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church, Hooversville, PA 15936 or Windber Hospice, 600 Somerset Ave., Windber, PA 15963.
