FALLEN A VICTIM TO SMALL-POX
The friends of Mrs. Josephine Manning, nee Brown, will learn with regret that she has fallen a victim to smallpox. Sunday her brother-in-law, Mr. J. W. Truitt, received a telegram from Pueblo, Colorado announcing her death. She died Saturday night after lingering fifteen days with this terrible malady. At one time the physicians in her attendance felt hopeful of her recovery, but when the crisis came it carried with it its victim. Though no advances as yet have reached here, it is most probable that her obsequies occurred at Pueblo yesterday. The deceased was a daughter of Elder Solomon Brown, of this city.
