An inmate found Dennis in #2 Yard as a kitten and smuggled him into the main yard. By all reports, everybody (inmates and guards) loved Dennis. He was well cared for. When Dennis died in 1968, the inmates requested that they be allowed to hold a service for Dennis and make a tombstone. The warden granted their request.
