Vivian L. Hamm, 63, of 406 Prospect Street, Avis, died of complications from cancer at Divine Providence Hospital Williamsport Wednesday, July 1,1987.
Mrs Hamm was a licensed practical nurse at Divine Providence hospital for 10 years and was a member of Praise Center Church Avis
She was born in Jamestown, New York, February 3, 1924 ,a daughter of Neil and Ruth Champion Sample. She married Fred L. Hamm who survived. Mrs. Hamm was survived by two daughter; Ruth Landis of Milton and Brenda Bohn of Baltimore Maryland; three sons: Fred L. Jr. of Jersey Shore, Sherman of Surprise Arizona and David of Fort Belvoir Virginia four sisters: Voleria Engle of Beech Creek, Marilyn Bitner of McElhattan, Joann Allison of Jersey Shore, Romaine Fetterhoff of North Tonawanda New York; three brothers: Vernon Sample of Castanea Ronald, Jones of Germany and Harry Jones of Lock Haven; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services were at the Helt Funeral Home, Lock Haven, with the Reverend Jason Denlinger officiating. Burial was at Dunnstown Cemetery, Lock Haven.
