Margaret was the daughter of George Lewis Ledsinger and Nancy Agnes (Hefley) Ledsinger. She married Perry M. Hall on January 21, 1847, in Carroll County, Tennessee.

Margaret and Perry were the parents of eight known children--Nancy Evalina, Alfred Russell, Mary J. "Mollie," John T., William James, Emma, George Newton, and Cyrus P. Hall.

The following obituary for Margaret was found in the CARROLL COUNTY DEMOCRAT newspaper, Vol. 13, dated March 9, 1900, on file in the Gordon Browning Museum and Genealogical Library, located in McKenzie, Carroll County, Tennessee:

"Mrs. Margaret E. Hall, who left this county in 1888 with Dr. J. N. Jackson's family, died at the home of the doctor in Dyer last Tuesday at 1 o'clock. She died very suddenly from something like heart trouble. Mrs. Hall was 78 years old, a member of the M. E. church, and a most excellent Christian woman. Her remains were brought to this county Wednesday evening and the burial occurred yesterday at Carter's Chapel. Dr. J. M. Carter preached her funeral and conducted the burial services."
