In the roster report, Peggy Holley found that Ledsinger died May 1907.

George Ledsinger enlisted at Huntingdon on September 20,1862, and mustered in at Trenton four days later. He was discharged at Saulsbury, Tennessee, on October 25, 1863, after serving his one year enlistment period in the 7th Tennessee Cavalry. Since he was only 17, his parents had to consent for him to join. He was captured in West Tenessee and sent to Camp Chase. From there, he was sent to Nashville in September 1863, and mustered out at Saulsbury, Tennessee, the next month. His complexion was dark, his eyes were gray, and his hair was dark. He was a short man. When he joined, he was a member of Company F, but moved to Company L 12th Tennessee Cavalry. On January 23, 1888, George Ledsinger applied for his Civil War Pension (Classification, Invalid), and Rebecca (his widow) applied for the pension July 16, 1907, after the death of her husband.

George was the son of George Ledsinger (1803-1885) and Nancy Agnes Heffly (Hefley) (1806-1893). Both were born in the Chester District, South Carolina. Both died in Carroll County, Tennessee.

Rutha Fennell Ledsinger, grandmother of George Lewis Ledsinger, also came to Carroll County. She died in 1854 at the age of 71.

The children of George and Agnes were Ruth Hannah, John Michael, Margaret E., Mary Evaline, William Thomas, Sarah Agnes, Louisa Mariah, James Herman, Emily Caroline, George Lewis, Matilda Jane, Albert L. and Isabella.

George Lewis Ledsinger married Rebecca Everett November 27, 1870.

The children of George Lewis and Rebecca Ledsinger were
James H., Louella, Martha Elizabeth, Joseph D., William Franklin, Mary Elizabeth, Louis Albert, and Vennie.

CARROLL COUNTY DEMOCRAT--May 17, 1929

Funeral services for Mrs. Lewis Ledsinger, 81, who died at her home in Bemis after an illness of six weeks, were conducted Saturday afternoon from the Liberty All Church near Huntingdon. The Rev. Yates officiated.

Mrs. Ledsinger was born and reared near Huntingdon, but had been a resident of Bemis for the last four years. She joined the Liberty All Methodist Church when very young. After moving to Bemis, she made her home with her son, A. L. Ledsinger.

She is survived by three sons, A. L. Ledsinger of Bemis, W. F. Ledsinger of Trezevant,and J. H. Ledsinger of Edinburg, Texas; four daughters, Mrs. Louella Williams of Bemis, Mrs. Bernice McCollum of Huntingdon, Mrs. Mattie Williams of Huntingdon, and Mrs. Mary Foster of Leach. She also leaves five brothers Will Everett, Tom Everett, Jim Everett, John Everett, Sug Everett and one sister, Mrs. Sally Thompson of Huntingdon.
