THOMAS MEREDITH, 73, of 141 Third Avenue, South Charleston, died Thursday at his home. He was a retired construction department of Carbide with 25 years service with the company, and had lived in South Charleston for 30 years.
Mr. Meredith was a native of Pembroke, Virginia, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Meredith. He was employed by the Woods Lumber Company at Berwind before coming to Kanawha County.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Melinda Meredith; two daughters, Mrs. Florence Duke of Selma, Alabama, and Margaret Meredith of South Charleston; two sons, Harold Lee Meredith of the army and Ralph Meredith of South Charleston; a sister, Mrs. Charles Smith of Columbus, Ohio; a brother, Leonard Meredith of Pembroke, Virginia, and five grandchildren.
The body is at Snodgrass mortuary.
