Quaker meetings in Silver Township, Greene County, Ohio, began in 1812 in the home of the Thomas Moorman (father of the Thomas Moorman above). The meeting became known as "Seneca," after the Seneca Meeting in Campbell County, Virginia, where the Moorman family had lived previously. The Seneca Preparative Meeting became the Jamestown Monthly Meeting in 1910.
