Crystal Bast, nee Brennan was my cousin and dear friend. She was the daughter of Owen E. Brennan and Muriel Sadie Brennan, nee Purington(my father's oldest sister), she was the oldest sister to Colleen, Carol Ann and Candie Brennan. She was the mother to her two beautiful daughters, Sarah and Rachel Bast, and grandmother to Vivian, the light of her life....
Chris was born and raised in the granite state of New Hampshire, but found herself living in California, Oregon, back to New Hampshire, Arizona, England (near Manchester)and eventually back to Oregon. She loved family, and was very close with her Mom, sisters, daughters, and of course little Vivian.
I will never forget when she moved back to New Hampshire in 1977, and stayed with my Mom and Dad, to help take care of my Dad who was dying of cancer. Chris had a kind and giving nature, and was a huge help full of compassion to my Mom and my father.
Chris was the granddaughter of Richard B. Purington and Sadie W. Purington, nee Hoitt, and was a direct descendent of George Puddington, who sailed from Tiverton, England with his brother Robert to settle the Purington name here in North America......Crystal will always be a part of my heart
