Died aged 54 years, so evidently born about 1849. Married first on 17 OCT 1869 in Muscogee County, Georgia, to Missouri STRINGFIELD. Married second on 29 DEC 1883 in Muscogee County, Georgia, to Lizzie HASTEN.

"DEATH OF MR. GEO. C. PRYOR // Mr. George Crawford PRYOR died at his home, No. 1328 Broad street, at 1:20 o'clock yesterday after an illness of six months from consumption. He was 54 years of ag and a Confederate veteran, and was a member of the Missionary Baptist church. He is survived by three sons, Messrs. Thomas, George and Walter PRYOR, all of this city. The funeral takes place from the house at 4 o'clock this afternoon. Rev. Thomas FARR will conduct the services, and the interment will be in Linwood cemetery." Daughter (by first wife, Missouri STRINGFIELD): “Death of Miss Della PRYOR. // Miss Della Beatrice PRYOR died at the residence of her father, Mr. George C. PRYOR, No. 114 Eighteenth street, at 5:55 o’clock yesterday afternoon, after an illness of five days of congestion. The deceased was seventeen years of age, and is survived by her father, step-mother and three half brothers, who have the sympathy of their friends in the hour of their sad affliction. // The funeral will take place from the family residence at 3 o’clock this afternoon.” [Columbus (GA) Enquirer-Sun newspaper, Wednesday, 02 NOV 1898, p. 6.]

“MSS PRYOR AT REST: Her Remains Were Interred at Linnwood Cemetery Yesterday. // The funeral of Miss Della Beatrice PRYOR took place from the residence of her father, Mr. George C. PRYOR, No. 114 Eighteenth street, at 3 o’clock yesterday afternoon. The services were conducted by Rev. J. W. SIMMONS, pastor of the Broad street Methodist church, in the presence of a number of friends and acquaintances of the family. The death of Miss PRYOR was indeed a sad one, as she was just entering womanhood, and was a most lovable young lady. The interment occurred at Linwood cemetery. // The pall bearers were Messrs. A. O. BARTEE, C. B. DIFFLEY, J. D. KITTRELL, W. D. WELLS, H. E. SMITH and W. L. OGLETREE.” [Columbus (GA) Enquirer-Sun newspaper, Thursday, 03 NOV 1898, p. 8.]
