George Alibertis, 84, of Roanoke, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2006. He was an active member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. He was preceded in death by a sister, Magdeline Kournilaki. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sandra P. Alibertis; son, Kostas J. Alibertis; sister, Marika Remdou; three nieces. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Monday, April 3, 2006 at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church with the Rev. Dean Nastos officiating. The interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with a Trisagion service beginning 7 p.m. at Oakey's North Chapel, 362-1237.
