OLIVER LESLIE POWERS, 94, passed away from this life on May 21, 2012. He was born in Mexia, Texas on February 2, 1918 to George Washington Powers, Jr., and Mary Etta (Wright) Powers. In October 1943 after moving to Houston, he met and married Robbie Lee Grover on June 24, 1945, who preceded him in death. He was a devoted husband and father and will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 1, 2012, from 6:00 - 9:00p.m. Services will be held Saturday, June 2, 2012, at 11:00a.m. Both services will be held at Garden Oaks Church of Christ. Interment- Golden Gate Cemetery.
