VARNVILLE, S.C. -- Mrs. Deloris Gooding Adams, 87, died March 10 at Western Wake Hospital in Cary, N.C. She was born in Hampton County. She was a member of Sandy Run Baptist Church, the Senior Ladies Sunday School Class and the Senior Adult Group. She had taught the Children's Sunday School Class at Norwich Baptist Church in Brunswick for more than 40 years.
SURVIVORS: a son, Jimmy Adams of Cary; a brother, DeLacy Gooding of Varnville; a sister, Belva Kelehear of Estill; and two grandchildren.
FUNERAL: 3 p.m. today at Sandy Run Baptist Church, burial in Gooding Cemetery in Crocketville. - Savannah Now, March 1999
