Mrs. Jennie A. Tobias, 94, widow of William A. Tobias, died at her home on the Beavercreek Rd., two and a half miles north of Alpha Tuesday evening at 7:16 o'clock. She had been ill ten days.

The daughter of David and Rebecca Gerlaugh, pioneer Greene Countians, she was born November 26, 1851 on the farm where she died. She had passed her entire life there with the exception of nineteen years, having resided in Alpha from 1920 to 1939. This farm has been in the Gerlaugh family 125 years. Mrs. Tobias was a member of the Beaver Evangelical and Reformed Church fifty-three years.

She is survived by a son, Rev. D. Emerson Tobias, at home; a grandson, William A. Tobias, Downey, Calif., and several great-grandchildren. Mr.Tobias died twenty-nine years ago and two sisters preceded her in death.

Services will be at the home Friday at 3 p.m. in charge of Dr. A. P. Schnatz, pastor of the Beaver Evangelical and Reformed Church. Burial will be in Hawker Cemetery, Dayton Pk. Friends may call at the home from 1 p.m. Thursday to the hour of service.
