A ceremony celebrating the life of Mr. Aubrey Wilson will be held at 11:30 am Wednesday at First Pentecostal Church of Denham Springs; visitation will begin at 10 am until time of the service; interment with Military Honors will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. Mr. Wilson was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on May 1, 1932, to the union of George and Laura Boyett Wilson and departed from this life on Tuesday morning May 5, 2014 at his home in Walker at the age of 82 years. He was retired with Bell South; served with the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict; a member of First Pentecostal Church; his favorite hoppy was gardening and his passion was his family being a husband, daddy and grandpa. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister Doris Shed; brothers J. B., James, George and Hubert Ray Wilson. Survivors include his wife of almost sixty years Joyce Lester Wilson; children Bruce E. Wilson Sr (Rita), Donald K. Wilson Sr (Lisa) and Laura Mathis Harrell (Bobbie); sister Odessa Wilson; grandchildren Eddie & Kasie, Cherie & Jon, Jennifer & Mike, Keith, Chad & Auburn, Alison & Taylor, Caleb, Carson, also Aubrey, Micah, Rebekah and their father Jesse Wayne Mathis; also survived by 10 great grandchildren, host of nieces, nephews and his canine companion "Chip". Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Memorials preferred to First Pentecostal Church of Denham Springs.
